Tent City offers budget accommodation for those who want to see London cheaply. Found at two locations in the capital (East Acton and Hackney), guests of Tent City can sleep under canvas for as little as £5 per-person per-night. You can stay in dormitory style tents or bring your own, and the sites are open from April to September. Pre-booked groups of up to 200 can be accommodated, and discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. All the facilities that you would expect at any good camp-site are provided.
